Description
Electric drive systems manufactured by ZM Tarnów are intended for use in military equipment for remote control of weapon movement, optoelectronic heads, rotating bases, and other mechanical components performing angular (rotational) movements. The fully digital, closed-loop control system enables high movement dynamics while maintaining high positioning precision thanks to the use of high-resolution encoders. The applied PMSM motors are characterized by high efficiency and an excellent power-to-weight and size ratio. Thanks to the use of absolute encoders, the drives do not require referencing after power-up. The drive systems use the same architecture across the entire power range, which makes them scalable—from several dozen watts to several kilowatts—depending on the specific application and its requirements.
Features:
Electric drive systems typically powered by DC voltage from the vehicle’s (weapon carrier’s) onboard power supply,
No referencing required thanks to the use of absolute encoders,
Optionally, can be equipped with a manual disengagement mechanism to enable manual operation.
Interfaces:
Communication with the control system: RS422 (other interfaces available as options).
