The WKM-Bm/NSW-UTIOS Heavy Machine Gun is an automatic weapon intended to combat enemy manpower hidden behind light shields, lightly armored terrestrial targets, low flying airborne targets as well as naval vessels. The weapon can be integrated with the Remote Controlled Weapon Station (the ZSMU) or it can be installed on the following various mounts: pedestal socket, pintle carriage, tank mount, rotary vehicle hatch, general-purpose tripod or terrestrial tripod. The weapon can be used in all weather conditions, different climate zones at any time of the day or at night.
